Succulent Marinated Steak

Start the fire this Valentine’s Day with this grilled striploin steak. It is super simple to make and so delicious.

Make sure the striploin steak is completely thawed and well-marinated before grilling it in a pan. Frying steak which is even a little bit frozen is a recipe for disaster- you will get a tough and rubbery texture instead of a juicy and succulent bite.

200- 400gms Striploin Steaks

3 Tbsp of Soy Sauce

1 Tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce

3 Cloves of Garlic, smashed

2 Spring Onions, smashed

2 Tbsp Oyster Sauce

1 Chili api, cut into slices

1 Tbsp of Olive Oil

Salt and Pepper, to taste

1) Combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, spring onions, oyster sauce, salt, pepper, oil and chili. Pour marinade over the steak, make sure it can surround the steak well, cover and marinate in the fridge for a few hours.

2) Preheat a grill (or any frying pan) over medium high heat.

3) Take the steaks out of the fridge about 10 minutes before you’re ready to cook them. Shake off the excess marinade and place the steaks on the hot grill.

4) Grill the steaks for about 4 minutes on each side or until you reach your desired doneness.

Serve these juicy pieces of grilled perfection with a variety of side dishes such a mashed potatoes, buttered carrots, garlic asparagus and corn on the cob.
